About Pensaria

Built on the belief that retirees deserve time with their own documents.

Our Story

How Pensaria came to be.

Pensaria started in Ipoh in 2019, when two colleagues who had spent years working in document management noticed the same thing: retirees were arriving at offices with folders full of pension statements, EPF printouts, and policy letters they had never had the chance to read slowly, with someone beside them who was not trying to sell them anything.

There was no single place that offered just the act of reading together — looking at what a document actually says, noting where the gaps are, and leaving with a clearer picture of what is in the household file. Pensaria was opened to provide exactly that, without expanding into advice or interpretation.

We work from Greentown Business Centre in Ipoh. Sessions are by appointment. We have worked with several hundred individuals and households across Perak, and we continue to keep our scope deliberately narrow: reading, mapping, and organising. Nothing more, nothing less.

Our Mission

One sentence: help people see what they already have.

Every household in Malaysia with a working history has EPF records, insurance documents, and various scheme statements. Most of those households have never laid all those documents out together and simply read them. Pensaria gives that reading time back.

Our Values

  • Slow and careful reading over quick summaries
  • Transparency about what we do and do not do
  • No advisory role — organisation only
  • Public-source references only, always cited
  • Dignity and patience in every session

How We Work

Standards we hold ourselves to.

Scope clarity

We are explicit with every participant at the start of each session: we organise and read, we do not advise. This boundary is repeated in our session notes and materials.

Document handling

Original documents brought to sessions remain in the participant's possession throughout. We do not retain, photograph, or copy personal documents. Working notes from the session are given to the participant.

Public sources only

All reference material used in reading sessions is drawn from publicly available government and scheme publications. We do not use proprietary data or third-party commercial databases.

Personal Data Act compliance

Pensaria collects only the contact information needed to schedule sessions. All data handling is conducted in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

Session feedback

Every participant receives a short written summary of what was covered in their session and is invited to share feedback. We use this to refine the reading packs and session structure.

Appointment reliability

Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time. If a session needs to be rescheduled, we give at least two working days' notice. Participants may reschedule with the same notice period.

Pension document reading in Ipoh, Perak.

Pensaria operates from Greentown Business Centre in Ipoh and serves retirees and pre-retirees across Perak who want help reading and organising their household retirement documentation. Our work covers EPF (Employees Provident Fund) annual statements, KWAP (Kumpulan Wang Persaraan) correspondence, PERKESO retirement-related documentation, insurance policy documents, and general household papers accumulated over a working life.

The sessions are designed for people who are approaching or have recently reached retirement age and find themselves with a substantial collection of documents they have not had time to read carefully. Our approach is reading-led and organisational — we do not evaluate, project, or recommend any course of action.

Retirement records organisation for Malaysian households.

A well-maintained household records folder is a practical asset for any family. Knowing where the EPF nomination form is, whether the insurance policy has been updated since the last job change, and which KWAP statements are missing from the file — these are organisational questions, not financial ones, and they are the kind of questions Pensaria is here to help with.

Our household records programme is the most comprehensive offering for families who want to establish and maintain a clean records system over the course of a year. The records folder produced at the end of the programme serves as a durable household reference, independent of any advice or ongoing service relationship.
